Happy Birthday! Fathia Balogun Celebrates Her 49th Birthday Today.

Fathia Balogun was conceived in Ikeja on 5th of  February 1969. Her family is from Okpara, Delta State.

She went to Maryland Primary School and Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School in Lagos state, where she acquired her West African School Certificate before she continued to Kwara State Polytechnic where she got her Diploma Certificate.

She has featured, produced and directed a few Nigerian movies throughout the years. In 2008, she won the Africa movie Academy Award for the Most Outstanding Actress Indigenous and her movie "Iranse Aje"  won the best indigenous film of the year.

In April 2014, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award, having risen as best performing artist of the year alongside Odunlade Adekola who developed as best performer of the year.

Faithia Balogun additionally won the Best Indigenous Language: Yoruba grant for the work done in the film "Iya Alalake"  at the 2015 Africa-Magic Viewers' Choice Awards AMVCA.
