The Deputy Director General (Central), Governor Seyi Makinde Re-election Campaign Organization, Honourable Chief Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE joined by the People's Democratic Party PDP Oyo Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Bisi Ilaka, Egbeda/Ona-Ara House of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Busari Olayemi, Lawmaker representing Egbeda constituency, Honourable Sunkanmi and other party stalwarts officially welcome decampees from All Progressive Congress APC in Egbeda Local Government.
The reception which held at the SDP hall, Old Ife Road coincided with the People's Democratic Party PDP Egbeda Local Government meeting.
The new PDP members were decampees from the All Progressives Congress APC and has their members across the wards in Egbeda Local Government.
Leaders of the two different groups from the APC, Mr. Lasisi R.O. and Mr. Ogo Egbeda who lead Mogaji Oyelabu Foundation (MOF) directed all their members from each wards to start mobilizing and working for the re-election bid of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Speaking, Honourable Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE welcomed the new members into the party, assuring them that they would not regret their decision.
“In PDP, there is no founder, no joiner. We are all one. Many of you are former members of the PDP. I can only welcome you back home. You will never regret this decision,” OTOPE said as he handed over the flag of the PDP to leaders of the decampees.
In their words, the Senatorial candidate of the party in Oyo Central, Chief Bisi Ilaka, Federal Representatives Candidate, Hon Busari Olayemi and House of Assembly Candidate, Honourable Sunkanmi Olawale appreciated the people for believing in their mission.
They charged members of the party to get their voter’s cards ready, saying that is the only weapon to to use in 2023.
