HONOURABLE ABIODUN FADEYI COMMISERATES WITH AKINJIDE'S FAMILY OVER THE DEATH OF EX-AGF PA RICHARD AKINJIDE.

Oyo State Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Abiodun Muhammed Fadeyi commiserate with Akinjide's family over the death of PA Richard Akinjide
"Verily we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return."

As the news of the death of one of Oyo State's most illustrious son, Chief Richard Osuolale Akinjide  SAN, QC, an elder statesman, a political phenomenon, legal practitioner of high repute filltered into town, I immediately remembered my last engagement with him.

Without engaging in unnecessary rhetorics, Chief Richard Osuolale Akinjide contributed to the development of the Nigerian legal system and consistently fought what he believed in till death.

In my meeting with him some few months ago  which afforded me the opportunity to have a long discussion ranging from governance in Nigeria today and  general aspects of human life, I saw in him someone that has a genuine passion for humanity and I was inspired and motivated  based on the eye-opening and insightful message passed to me by him on the political history of this country. I will forever cherish that moment with him for it's an eye opener.

In all, Baba has contributed his own quota and has left us to be with his creator.

On behalf of the good people of Ona-Ara Local Government Constituency, we  commiserates with the members of his extended family most especially our beloved Chief (Mrs.) Olajumoke Akinjide and the good people of the State on the demise of this illustrious son and we pray that God grant everyone the fortitude to bear the loss.

Rt. (Hon.) Abiodun Mohammed Fadeyi
Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly.
Ona-Ara Local Government Constituency.
