Woli Agba

Entertainer, Ayobami Ayo-Ajewole, otherwise known as Woli Agba, has expressed earnestly that his innovativeness isn't constrained to transferring video plays on the Internet.

Rubbishing claims that social media networking humorists don't have what it takes to do stand-up comic drama, Ayo-Ajewole stated, “That does not apply to me. I do my skits on stage and I also perform on stage. I anchor lots of events and the feedbacks I get from fans are refreshing. They have never discouraged me and I have never disappointed them. As a matter of fact, it is because of talks like  that I decided to organise today’s show so that people can see that we could also be spontaneous. Most of my video skits are not edited; I shoot them straight and that should tell you about my level of originality.”

Talking about his show which held in Ibadan a week ago, Woli Agba stated, “The show was tagged Instagram Parish Ministry. We’ve been shooting skits about Woli Agba for some time, but we wanted to bring our fans together and have a lovely time with them. On that day, we unveiled our film. It is actually one of our hit skits that we decided to develop into a full movie. It is titled Baba Ijo.”

On how he gets motivation, he stated, “I get all my inspiration from the Holy Spirit. When you do things that are interesting and meaningful, people would have no choice but to give you audience. Nowadays, people even call me names such Baba Ijo, Woli and Pastor. I just like to make people laugh, and I am glad for the positive responses I always get from fans.”

Preventing the reports from securing fractures amongst him and other Alfa Sule individuals, Ayobami stated, “All I do started from when I was a member of Alfa Sule. We have absolutely no issues. We all just decided to try different things. We are still together though our schedules take us to different places at different times.”

Talking on how his video plays have supported his vocation, Woli Agba stated, “The impact of those skits on my career has been amazing. People initially knew me as Alfa Sule back then. When I started uploading video skits, it brought back memories to them. A lot of people call me to anchor their events and right now, my calendar is booked for a long time. A lot of doors have been opened for me. It is always good to be relevant and my Instagram videos have brought me back to reckoning.”
